JULIA TONON

A Veneta is a Brazilian creative production company established in 2020, based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. With a collaborative approach centered on female authorship, A Veneta crafts audiovisual projects that expand narratives, establish new spaces in the industry, and promote a rich diversity of perspectives and voices. The interdisciplinary team of directors, photographers, scriptwriters, and visual artists collaborate to create diverse content and projects that range from entertainment to the corporate world of brands and agencies.
A Veneta has produced and distributed Alice, the trilogy by Julia Tonon; Claridore, the short film by Olivia Mucida; and the documentary about the collaboration between Gilberto Gil and FARM, directed by Allexia Galvão. As associate producer, we contributed to Mania by Malu Alves, and as co-producer, we worked on the video-dance Do Rio Comprido à Maré by Gabriela Gaia. Additionally, we co-produced Pavilhão, the short film by Victoria Fiore, with global premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and showcased in renowned national and international festivals, including the 18th Visões Periféricas, Curta Cinema, Festival Cine Deburu, Mirada Corta, Cine Ejigbo, Carnaval Film Festival, Nova Frontier Film Festival and Tá Roxeda. Our films and music videos have also been featured at the MVF Awards, Women's Music Event Billboard, Mostra Mulher de Cinema, Cinematography & Photography Awards and the Latin Grammy Awards.
Our portfolio includes projects recognized by leading national and international creative platforms, with features in WePresent by WeTransfer, Hypebeast, Rolling Stone, Nowness, and Directors’ Library. Driven on expanding the horizons of Brazilian cinema, A Veneta endeavors creations that convey cinematic power in a diverse range of formats.
