Mayara uses a diverse range of image and video languages and technologies, including AI, to produce, reshape and amplify narratives of black, indigenous, and dissident bodies. In the audiovisual field, she has directed projects spanning music videos, short and medium-length films, including ‘Orixás Center’, ‘Abian’, ‘A Hora Aberta’, and ‘No Coração da Escuridão’, by Mahmundi. Her photography and visual arts have been showcased in renowned publications such as Le Monde Diplomatique, VOGUE, Marie Claire, and Mídia Ninja.
